Things To Do As You Transition Into 2023

Thanksgiving: Take time to think and recollect all God has done for you in 2022. Take a journal, write it down, and thank God for every one of them. I know there are things you may still be expecting from God, but what about the many blessings God has given you in 2022? What about the gift of life? What of shelter, healing, food, relationships, and the opportunities you didn't even pray for, and God still gave them to you? One thing I have learned about thanksgiving is that thanksgiving is a multiplier. In John 6:11, Jesus gave thanks for the little he had, and God multiplied it to feed the hungry five thousand. Take time to Thank God and watch him multiply these things in 2023.

Declutter: This week is the best time to organize your space. Before Jesus fed the five thousand, he instructed that they create an order in Luke 9:14. First, they sit down, and second, they sit down in groups of fifty. Imagine getting 5 thousand people to sit down in groups of fifty. They were starving too, but they needed to put first things first. When God created the world, there was an order to it. On the first day, there was something to do. On the second day, they were another thing to do, etc. Clean up your space. Physically, clean up your room, and organize your items. Put your house in order. Spiritually, put your house in order. Order births creativity and productivity. Being scattered is a time waster and destiny robber. Dear friend, get your life in order.

Personal Retreat: Dedicate one to three days and fast and pray. Review 2022 and assess your progress, your weakness, and strengths. The only way to get better at anything is to review it or examine it. You must review to improve on anything. One way to acknowledge God in all you do is to ask him what to do in every situation. I have discovered that God loves us to ask him questions, no matter how small we think it is. He loves us to be dependent on him in all things. 2023 is a brand new year for you, but God has already finished the year. He has written your story for 2023; He knows how 2023 will end. Will you humble yourself and ask God what he has in mind for you in 2023? Receive clarity and direction for the new year in your place of prayer. Receive a personal word from the Lord for your life.

Prophecy Board: I know you are used to the vision board but allow me to introduce you to the prophecy board. Based on the clarity and direction you have received from your retreat, please write down in words and pictures what God has shown you. God asked Jeremiah, what do you see? What do you see about yourself and your destiny in 2023? What is God showing you? Please write it down. Anything you have not written down, you cannot apply to your life.

Plan With Prophecy: Take time to plan with God. Create a concrete plan about projects the Lord will have you embark on in 2023 to help you fulfill the vision he has shown you. How will the Lord have you handle your finances in 2023? What will you do differently in 2023? Write it down and put a date to it. Someone said not planning your life equals playing with your destiny. Please take time to plan and prepare with God.

These are the things I am personally doing this last week, and I wanted to share them with you. I hope this has blessed you! I pray that the God who brought you to the end of this year will also carry you into 2023. Merry Christmas and Happy New year!
