Steering The Direction of a Nation Through Right Leadership

It is sad to see the nonchalant attitude of some believers when it comes to politics. Many don't even remember to pray and intercede for their country. Yet such people will complain and blame God on any  difficulty and hardship in their nation. One thing is sure, deciding who is at the helm of affairs of a nation is as spiritual as choosing whom to marry. You don't just wake up any day and choose anyone to marry like you are choosing a cloth to wear. It is a spiritual decision that must be made carefully. On Saturday February 16th, 2019, Nigeria will have her presidential election and Nigerians will decide who will be their President. I want you to understand why you must be actively involved as a believer and as a Nigerian.
The leadership of any BODY (by body, I mean any entity, or institution, be it  marriage, family, church, company, nation), determines the direction of that body. The body goes where the head faces. I have never seen any physical body facing front and that physical body walking backwards or vice versa. Nigeria is a body and the presidency represents the head of the Nigerian body. You  are part of the Nigerian Body and wherever the head (the presidency) faces, you as a part of the body will be forced to move towards that direction. If you keep quiet as a believer at this crucial time and don't do any thing regarding this election, you will face the consequences of the decision of who ever gets into power. You have the opportunity to PRAY and VOTE! Don't throw it away. Don't do one and leave the other. You must Pray and Vote. Both must go hand in hand. Just like you are expected to pray and study as a student to succeed. God will work through your votes.
In Genesis 42: 5, the bible recorded that the sons of Israel came to Egypt to buy food as a  result of the famine afflicting Canaan. Yet the same Famine was happening in Egypt but there was still food in Egypt. The Sons of Israel were not exempted from the famine just because they belong to God. No! The same rain that fell on the evil, fell on the good(Matt 5:45). In fact the sons of Israel had to leave their location to get food from another nation who knew not God. What was the difference? The difference is in their leadership. The man at the helm of affairs in Egypt was a man Called JOSEPH. Joseph was wise and discerning. He discerned and saw the famine coming and through God's help, proffered solution to the disaster coming on Egypt and the nations of the earth. Joseph understood the times and seasons and knew what Pharaoh and the nation of Egypt ought to do. And so the whole of Egypt was at his command.
The difference between the current state of Nigeria and the great destiny of Nigeria is her leaders. A time will come when other nations will come to Nigeria to seek help to different economic issues facing them. Nigeria will be a hub of solutions and will have the balm to heal the nations. But to get to our promised land, we need to pray and vote-in the right leadership.
Nigeria belongs to every citizen of Nigeria therefore we cannot fold our hands and watch a few people destroy this great country. Don't vote based on sentiment or ethnicity. Vote with your heart and your head. As you vote remember the thousands of life massacred by Fulani herds men. Till today not one of them have been arrested. The blood of those innocent victims are crying for revenge. Remember, the millions of Nigerians who cannot afford what to eat because of the price of foodstuff going up. As you vote, remember that your vote will decide if Nigeria will move forward  or go backward in the next four years.

Nigeria, I decree and declare over you, may your enemies never lead you again! In Jesus Name Amen!

Again, PRAY and VOTE. God bless you!

Love.
